She is the coauthor of The Art of SEO: Mastering Search Engine Optimization (O’Reilly 2009, 2012, 2015, 2023), a comprehensive reference guide on optimizing digital content for search discoverability, and has been retained in over 100 litigation matters in the US and Canada involving search engines, social media, web analytics, web traffic validity measurement, digital content discoverability, and related topics.
Stricchiola is an advocate for algorithmic accountability in the digital platform ecosystem with an MSc in Data and Artificial Intelligence Ethics from the University of Edinburgh. Current research includes the ethical implications of how metadata, vis a vis language, controlled vocabularies, conceptual ontologies, and relationship mapping influence the development and performance of RAG-based generative AI applications. Additional research interests include knowledge organization and engineering, information systems and discovery, semantic web, and AI ethics.
